Ingredients

  • 2 cups watermelon chunks
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 2 tbsp gin

Instructions

  1. Start by removing the skin from the watermelon and cutting it into small chunks.
  2. Use a blender to puree the watermelon until smooth. Strain through a sieve to remove any solids.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the watermelon juice, maple syrup, lime juice, and gin. Mix well.
  4. Pour the mixture into a freezer-proof dish and freeze for at least 4 hours.
  5. Every hour, remove the granita from the freezer and use a whisk to break up the larger chunks of ice into smaller crystals.
  6. Once fully frozen, scrape off servings with a spoon or fork.
