Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 3/4 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • A pinch of nutmeg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 oz RumChata
  • Cinnamon stick, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine cinnamon and sugar on a shallow plate for the cinnamon-sugar rim. Moisten the rim of the glass with water and dip into the cinnamon sugar. Set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, whisk egg yolks and sugar. Add milk, nutmeg, cinnamon, and vanilla, then heat over medium-low heat for about 10 minutes until thickened.
  3. Remove from heat, stir in heavy cream and RumChata. Refrigerate until chilled.
  4. When ready to serve, pour into a glass and sprinkle with additional nutmeg. Garnish with a cinnamon stick.
