Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 ounces aged rum
  • 1/2 ounce orange liqueur
  • 1/2 ounce pure maple syrup
  • 1 whole egg
  • Ice
  • 1 sprig fresh rosemary
  • Grated fresh nutmeg, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a cocktail shaker, combine the aged rum, orange liqueur, maple syrup, and egg.
  2. Cover the shaker and shake vigorously until the mixture starts to emulsify, for about 45 seconds.
  3. Add ice and the sprig of rosemary to the shaker.
  4. Cover and shake until the outside of the shaker is frosted, for about 30 seconds.
  5. Strain the mixture into a glass.
  6. Garnish with grated fresh nutmeg.
