Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 2 tsp. cornstarch
  • 1/3 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup whiskey
  • 1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1-2 tsp. hot chocolate powder
  • 1/3 tsp. instant espresso or coffee powder

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine 3 tablespoons of milk with cornstarch until smooth.
  2. Add enough milk to make up a cup, then heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until very thick and bubbling.
  3. Remove from heat and scrape the thickened milk into a blender.
  4. Add sweetened condensed milk, whiskey, vanilla extract, 1 tablespoon of hot chocolate powder, and espresso powder.
  5. Blend until well mixed. Taste and add more hot chocolate powder if desired.
  6. Pour the mixture into a container with a tight-fitting lid and refrigerate until serving.
