Hibiscus Ginger Fizz

Hibiscus Ginger Fizz
A refreshing and aromatic cocktail with hibiscus-ginger syrup, Bombay Sapphire, lime, and tonic water.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 oz. Bombay Sapphire
- 4 oz. premium tonic water
- 1 piece of ginger (about 1 1/2-in.), thinly sliced
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup dried hibiscus flowers
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 oz. fresh lime juice plus thinly sliced rounds, for garnish
- Ice
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, hibiscus, ginger, and 1 cup water. Heat over medium-high heat until it simmers (do not boil), stirring until the sugar is dissolved.
- Remove the mixture from the heat and let it steep for 20 minutes to enhance the flavors.
- Strain the hibiscus-ginger syrup into a bowl using a fine sieve, discarding the solids. Refrigerate the syrup until chilled, for at least 30 minutes.
- Fill a glass with ice and pour in the Bombay Sapphire, 1 oz. of the hibiscus-ginger syrup, lime juice, and tonic water.
- Gently stir the mixture and garnish with 1-2 thinly sliced lime rounds.
