Ingredients
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1/4 inch piece of fresh ginger, thinly sliced
- 1 1/2 cups freshly brewed tea
- 2 oz moscato
- 1 slice candied ginger
- ice cubes
Instructions
- In a small pot, bring sugar and 1 cup water to a boil. Remove from heat and add fresh ginger; let it steep for about 7 minutes. Strain the syrup and discard the ginger. Let the syrup cool completely, about 10 minutes.
- In a pitcher, combine the ginger syrup and freshly brewed tea. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until chilled, for at least 2 hours or up to 2 days.
- Fill a tall glass with ice cubes. Add the ginger tea, leaving a little space at the top, then gently pour in the moscato to top it off.
- Optionally, serve with a slice of candied ginger on the rim.
