Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon Earl Grey tea leaves
  • 2 oz hot water
  • 1 large orange slice
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Bean Sugar
  • 1 oz Blackberry Shrub with Vanilla and Earl Grey
  • Soda water to top or to taste (I used Fever-Tree Club Soda)

Instructions

  1. Brew the Earl Grey tea and set it aside.
  2. Fill a rocks glass with ice.
  3. In a cocktail shaker, muddle the orange slice and sugar until the sugar is mostly dissolved, and the orange has released its juices.
  4. Add the brewed tea and blackberry shrub to the shaker, then top with ice.
  5. Shake the mixture well until the shaker becomes very cold and starts to sweat.
  6. Strain the mixture into the prepared glass, then top it with club soda.
  7. Garnish as desired with an orange wedge, slice, or edible flowers.
