Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups water
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 black tea bag (such as English breakfast)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons vodka
  • ice
  • lemon wheel for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine 1 1/4 cups of water with the sugar. Bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally.
  2. Turn off the heat and add the tea bag to the saucepan. Let it steep for 5-6 minutes, stirring often. Then discard the tea bag.
  3. Fill a pitcher with ice and pour the tea, remaining 1/2 cup of chilled water, lemon juice, and vodka over the ice. Mix well with a large spoon.
  4. Pour into a collins glass and garnish with a wheel of lemon. Serve and enjoy!
